What Perfecta is

Perfecta is a search tool that aggregates UCC lien filings and business entity records directly from each state's own databases, live at the time you search. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it.

What we don't collect

Perfecta doesn't require an account, a login, or any personal information to use. We don't sell data, and we don't use advertising or marketing trackers of any kind.

What's stored in your browser

The only thing Perfecta saves on your device is a single preference: whether you've chosen light or dark mode. It's kept in your browser's local storage, never leaves your device, and is never sent to our server. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.

How search queries are handled

When you run a search, Perfecta forwards your query, in real time, to the relevant data source and returns what it reports back. We do not store your search terms or results on our server after the response is sent to your browser.

Server logs

Like most web servers, ours may generate basic technical logs (such as IP address and request timestamps) for security and debugging. Currently, these are not linked to a Perfecta account, because Perfecta doesn't have accounts.

Third parties

Search results come from official state government systems, each with its own data practices, which this policy doesn't cover. Perfecta itself doesn't share your usage with any third party.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change too. Continued use of Perfecta after an update means you accept the revised policy.
